A father should never have a favourite son, but in the 24 editions of this newsletter, this might just be our favourite week of selections. There’s nothing like a load of good garments to reaffirm our love for menswear and today we’ve got 9 beauties, handpicked just for you, by us. Soon we’ll have to include a pair of shorts over a jacket, which is making us instantly uncomfortable at the thought of stowing away the layers until the leaves turn brown. Today is not that day though, today we’re in full springtime layering mode, looking at light outerwear, knitwear and all purpose shoes for our favourite activities. Enjoy!
18 East x Mephisto Break Spectrum
Mephisto sounds like an evil wizard from a Nintendo game but the real magic here is all in the shoes. Antonio Ciongoli’s 18 East rework two iconic Mephisto silhouettes, pulling attributes from the Rainbow and the Break to create something that arguably supersedes both.

Stan Ray 3 Button Jacket
Count this as your reminder that wedding season is not far away. Undoubtedly, we’ll all soon be scrambling for a suit that matches the vague dress codes of an invite we received 6 months ago and forgot about. Enter Stan Ray, with a very reasonably priced jacket and trouser combo you might actually fancy wearing for the rest of the year.
Gloverall Renewed Tote bag
This tote is built from excess wool used in the making of their duffle coats so you already know it’s going to be absolutely bulletproof. Gloverall also dropped some beautiful outerwear for SS25, we just feel bad that we keep talking about big coats when it’s sunny outside, hence the tote bag wins (this time).
Caledoor Packable Shirt Jacket
Some jackets are just really nice and don’t need a lot of explanation as to why we include them in our weekly newsletter. Super lightweight nylon, water repellant and part of a two piece that makes a lovely bit of technical suiting. What’s not to love?
Manresa Scotty Dawg Sweater
We like to think Diana, AKA the People’s Princess would have approved of this knit. Posthumous royal co-sign aside, this gets the Aloof stamp of approval, which in our view, is just as good.
Nomarhythm Textile Floral Hand Embroidery Blouson
Dr. Seuss can keep his Green Eggs & Ham because we’ve got Blue Flowers and Nice Tops. Should have thought the rest of this sentence through more so we could rhyme but we’ll stop. See what we did there?
Vinny’s Aztec Boat Shoe
The Boat shoe is going nowhere fast and is in fact, evolving. A pink suede further removes it from it’s original intended use on ocean vessels but places it further into the hearts of people who really know how to put that shit on.
YMC Baker Cardigan
Collared cardigans have us in a bit of a chokehold at the moment and this number from YMC might do the best job at visually explaining why. Why spend any longer looking at the picture when you can ‘check’ out via the link below?
Casey Casey Pannocchia Jacket
